Simmons Outstanding Dissertation Award for 2008 from the Medical Sociology Section of the American Sociological Association for her dissertation entitled, "Selling Genes, Selling Gender: Egg Donation, Sperm Donation, and the Medical Market in Genetic Material."
Helen Marrow (Cohort 15) has received the 2008 American Sociological Association Dissertation Award for the best PhD dissertation for the calendar year for, "Southern Becoming: Immigrant Incorporation and Race Relations in the Rural U.S. South."
Tim Büthe (Cohort 14) has published, "The Globalization of Health and Safety Standards: Delegation of Regulatory Authority in the SPS Agreement of the 1994 Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization" in Law and Contemporary Problems.
